We're back!

It's good to be back. After a few weeks of silence, the team is back at it. Despite some troublesome theme issues, that are almost eliminated, we have returned. There's nothing more to report on this end, so we'll leave you with some excerpts from classics, such as best selling Lorem Ipsum: "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eirmod tempor invidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliquyam erat, sed diam voluptua. At vero eos et accusam et justo duo dolores et ea rebum. Stet clita kasd gubergren, no sea takimata sanctus est." Read More →

Another Angry Blog, Or is it?

You may have noticed our newest friend on the internet. Who is he? Is it another rant blog? Does he have balls or just another faker? To be honest, he has balls. Too much infact. So why is this blog different? Well it's the first blog on the planet not written by a human being. That's right, it's written by a chemical in humans called Testosterone. All things aside, he's an old friend and he's angry, which is good? We don't know. You be the judge, oh and some stuff, yeah may be a little NSFW. Visit the site →

For centuries, Pirates and Ninjas have been battling it out, and I feel inclined to believe that they will continue to do so for a very long time. Which brings me straight to the point: who will still be around 1000 years from now - Pirates or Ninjas?

Lets take a quick look at where humanity will be in 1000 years, if we do indeed live that long. We should have done something drastic about climate change. World populations should be bursting at the seams. Computers should have reached a point where self awareness is a very good possibility. We should have a permanent colony on Luna. On Mars. And further afield.

However, more importantly, space travel should have reached a point where anyone like you or I could achieve a level of competence in piloting a spaceship similar to that of driving a car, and actually do so.

Which leads back to the question. If I were to bet a dollar today on who would win, and have it mature in 1000 years time, I would back the Pirates to still be around. Why? My case presents itself when you look at our expanding population. There once was a time where naughty men could slip about, free from the constraints of society, living the high life of adventure. Now, you can't pick your nose at sea without someone pulling you over and slapping you with a large trout. The point being that the world suddenly got smaller, therefore leaving less room for them to move and hide.

Now when, not if, space travel becomes as simple as getting a pilots license and buying your own ship, then the number of people getting out into the black will be astronomical. And with that many people out there, piracy is bound to skyrocket as well. The logic being that ships are valuable, their cargoes may be valuable, and the people themselves are easier to dispose of. I mean, it is incredibly difficult to find a man lost at sea. Imagine trying to find a needle in a haystack that is infinitely larger than normal!

Maybe I'm putting the wrong spin on this. When space travel does become that simple, we will expand in all directions. Directions that won't always be policed, let alone populated by Pirates. But expand we will. And piracy might not be huge straight off the bat, as we might actually be more interested in what is actually out there, rather than what our fellow travelers have in their cargo holds.

World Youth Day - False Advertising?

Is it just me, or has everyone else had it up to here (*Indicates to a point approximately eye height*) with the flood of pilgrims in Sydney reaching biblical proportions? Oh I'm going to hell for that pun, but the thing is, there is only so much bible bashing that can go on in my vicinity before I begin to feel violated. I mean, It's cool and all that they believe in some higher power motivating them, but do they have to do it near me?

The answer is yes, they do! It wouldn't be right if they didn't try to proclaim their faith as loudly and inconsiderately as possible. I feel really bad for the people living in the Randwick area, being kept up at night because of 100,000+ Christians singing, dancing and carrying on like a gang of apes.

World Youth Day - Let's have a look at what it means.

World - Noun: the earth or globe, considered as a planet.

Youth - adjective: the condition of being young.

Day - Noun: the interval of light between two successive nights.

So let me get this straight, World Youth Day, in it's most basic definition, has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with religion! What should be a day long international celebration of young people has been tainted. (Not the first and definitely not the last thing the Catholic Church has ruined...) We have been ripped off! Another thing I have been excluded from!

I will be glad when this whole thing blows over though, so I can go back to my usual anti-christic ways in peace and quiet.

P.S. - To all those who I know will be offended by this: exercise your god-given (Hahaha, another bad pun!) right to close this window. But don't dare think you can change my infinitely biased opinions.

P.P.S - "There is no heaven of glory bright, and no hell where sinners roast. Here and now is our day of torment! Here and now is our day of joy! Here and now is our opportunity! Choose ye this day, this hour, for no redeemer liveth. Say unto thine own heart I am mine own redeemer." - Anton LaVey, The Satanic Bible.

P.P.P.S. - I endorse the freedoms that everyone should take for themselves, that of speech and choice.

P.P.P.P.S. - Fingers crossed (I really should stop the puns!) I should get my laptop back tomorrow.

P.P.P.P.P.S - This is not the collective opinion of Kbabslive. Just to be clear.

Smells like nothingness

From the look of things on this site, things have been going slowly.

In actual fact, there have been quite a few things happening in life, hence leaving less time to write stuff up on here!

I'm here just to tell those who are waiting for the Panic Button extension - don't hold your breath. Rest assured that it will be released eventually, but alpha has had to stall it for a while in light of other things.

I'd write something interesting here, but I really need some sleep for work tomorrow. So instead, you get this:

Night to all.

Internetically Autonomous

In the short time that my laptop has been out of commission, I've realised just how big a part the internet is in my life. However, unlike a smoker who is going cold turkey and therefore gets the shakes, the addiction to the internet (in my case) hasn't set off any adverse side affects.

I guess what I mean to say is, while my life does revolve around pretty screens and quirky electronics, it is not dependent on it. Not one little bit. I've actually been outside! Not quite the first time in years, but as far as outings go, this was a unique experience. I got to stare at cloud shapes as they formed massive dragon heads, warlock pandas and... You get the idea.

Well, my laptop ships out tomorrow to the great beyond that is some service center or other. Lets hope it comes back in one piece. And remember, there is a particle for everything!

Firefox's "Official" Number of Download

article by admin On Thursday, July 03, 2008 View Comments
Despite our earlier predictions (and other's as well), Firefox just announced that their total downloads in 24 hours was officially 8,002,530. And even after three weeks of frenzy since the release of Firefox 3, there have already been nearly 30 million downloads. This wouldn't have been possible without the commitment of the many left mouse button clicks that actually come from the quiet country of North Korea with a staggering 0 million downloads, second only to the subterfuging Sandwich Islands who initially pledged over 44 downloads but only made 0,000.
